Welcome to the DKCISSP blog

What this blog is for, how it differs from the newsroom and Insights, and what to expect here.

By Deepak Kumar, CISSP1 min readOpinion

DKCISSP already publishes cybersecurity news every two hours, practical Insights explainers, and scenario-based Research. The blog adds something those sections deliberately avoid: opinion.

Why a separate blog

The newsroom has strict rules. Every story is built from multiple sources, written in our own words, and held back if the evidence is thin. That discipline is what makes the news useful, but it also means the newsroom never says what it thinks.

The blog is where that happens. Posts here are first-person perspective: arguments, lessons from practice, and positions that other people in security may reasonably disagree with. Every post is labelled Opinion so it is never confused with reporting.

How the sections fit together

  • Latest News reports what happened, with sources.
  • Insights are editorial explainers written in the newsroom voice.
  • Research works through what fits a specific organisation profile, and why.
  • The blog says what we think, and why.

What to expect

Posts will cover security operations, identity, vulnerability management, AI security and the practical side of building and running security programmes. The aim is fewer, better posts rather than a fixed schedule.
